Case Study

Global Implementation of an ERP: A Major Beverages Producer.

The Client

CCM exports beverages to the United States, Latin America, and Asia. CCM is the main brewery division of parent company Tyco, one of the largest producers of consumer products in the world.

The Challenge

CCM needed to improve its business systems for numerous reasons. Although the company retained a dominant market share of Europe beverage exports, CCM’s legacy systems lacked detailed production output reporting capabilities. Consequently, visibility into systems and distribution networks was limited. They could not determine if actual performance met industry best practices. CCM engaged Wability to develop an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business case, outlining costs, risks, potential savings, improvements, and integration requirements for implementing an ERP system.

The Solution

Wability assembled an experienced international team skilled at end-to-end ERP solutions. The team delivered these mission-critical services to CCM:

  • Conducted extensive interviews and onsite reviews of CCM business processes and technical requirements.

  •  Utilized benchmarks, SCM Quick Scan, and world-class finance tools to identify improvement opportunities, information technology (IT) requirements, and software recommendations.

  •  Adapted package integration and selection for the strategy, including world-class IT, finance, and supply chain management methodologies.

After analyzing information gathered through these methods, we developed a viable ERP business case and global implementation strategy.

The Benefits

With help from Wability, CCM developed a global ERP implementation strategy to sharpen its business systems efficiencies. CCM received findings on its existing technical infrastructure, as well as functionality improvement requirements and costs. This helped CCM implement the best global ERP system for their company.
